The tour guides were very good about catering to the different needs of our group since the ability level was diverse. The horses were well cared for and very well trained. “We are on honeymoon, and love the DR! Rancho Paraiso is a great tour. We would recommend it to any who wish to ride well bred and extremely well taken care of horses. The tour guides Chris and Luis were great with the horses and us too! I had not ridden in years but after a few miles it all came back and after seeing other horses during the tour I realized we were riding on the best horses on the island. They have a few really great thoroughbred stallions, but we were happy with the mares. Totally would recommend wear shoes, pants and a hat for the sun.”

“Another afternoon, several of the hotel guests took a horse riding tour in nearby Cabrera. The ranch owner picked us up at the hotel and returned us when we were finished. For me it was the first time back on a horse in forty years and another guest was on her horse for the first time. The ranch provided us horse suited to each of the rider's abilities.”

We spent three hours along back country roads, touring small communities, wide pastures and the most beautiful beach you've ever seen. If you do nothing else outside the Palace grounds, go and enjoy the country side on horseback.”
